Living with high blood-sugar can be of a great challenge and burden as well. Hence, it is said that diabetes is not a single health-related problem but a group of diseases.

If your symptoms are somehow matching with the symptoms of a diabetic patient, you must immediately go for a blood sugar test. Then if you are examined with diabetes type 1 and type 2 then you should follow these effective measures-

• Exercise more and on regular basis- Regular workout will surely help you to control your high blood sugar. But in certain cases exercise is not recommended as it can even rise up the level of blood sugar. For safety measures consulting a doctor is recommended.
• Consume more amount of water- Water helps the body to eliminate excess sugar from the blood through urine. Consumption of more water also helps diabetic patent to avoid dehydration.
• Change your diet and eating habit- After you are examined with high blood-sugar, immediately consult a dietician for the purpose to change your regular diet chart and types of food you consume.
• Meditation and Yoga- Diabetes is sometimes caused due to excessive stress, so if you make a plan for a regular yoga or meditation secession it will automatically help you to control your blood-sugar level.
• You must also go for a monthly blood-sugar test.
• Consume sugar-free drinks and low fat and carbohydrate foods.
• Try to find out by individual examination why the levels of glucose are elevated.
• Diagnose the kidney on twice a year as high blood-sugar leads to kidney failure.

However, specific actions like intake of additional insulin and medicines should only be consumed after proper consultation with a doctor.

From the primary stage, you must not neglect your symptoms as diabetes is though not a totally curable disease but not uncontrollable if a healthy diet is maintained strictly. Regular exercising habit is really helpful not only for seniors but also juniors are asked to follow a healthy diet and regular workout habit. As we all are quite aware of the type 1 diabetes that mainly affects people at childhood only. Exercise and well-maintained diet help everyone to stay fit and eliminate to an extent avoidable health-related issues. Yoga and meditations are also recommended for diabetic patients.
